I've found that I've fallen in a bit deeper into this and so finding a box that would ship for <$100 may not be cheap enough. Liking Avo Classics and finding CAO Golds comparable, but not cheap enough I'm on the hunt again but wanting something <$2.50 a piece.
I had tried Backwoods way back when and thought they were OK, though I hadn't ever had a real cigar. I bought some the other day and found that I just don't care for them at all.
Looking around in the under $2 section at CI I see I can go with a cheaper cigar (I like a Robusto) or I could even go with some sort of cigarillo, which seems appealing in its own way. I figure I'll order up some CAO Gold Karats as I like their Robusto, but I'd also like some opinions on mild to medium cigars and cigarillos that aren't machine made. I'd prefer to have the option of buying a small bundle to ensure that I do enjoy them, but also as I don't have storage for too much more than about 30 standard cigars at the moment.
I'm not keen on whether or not short-filler really detracts from the smoke. What is the shortcomings of it?

Wow! That seems like a steal! What would their typical price as I blew my hobby funds and don't have the room at the moment anyway. Next month's hobby funds will be spent on beer brewing ingredients as its been a few months now and I've been itching to brew up another ESB!

I think that's their normal price they just put them on the 1 day deal to move some stock.

I've got a handful of Nicaraguan 2nd's I got from the devils site for just under 2 bucks a smoke. They are supposedly from the Oliva brand, pretty decent for the price.

Estd. 1844....right at 2.50, but worth it. (particularly with a little rest)
They list these as medium-full, but I think they're medium (and I don't do nicotine bombs, btw)

Robusto for $2 a stick. They are quite pleasant for the price.

I'd just go bottom-feeding for singles and 5-packs on the devil site. I recently got Torano 1916, Oliva connies, Sosa Classic (Fuente made), Cabaiguan petites, and a bunch of other stuff for around that price. The only time I've gone over $2 a stick was $11 for a 5-er. It's been a good couple of weeks.... But of course it all added up to a shocking total.
