    Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Newbie

So, as a newbie to Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust cigars which seem to have a pretty good following and reputation, what would you recommend as a good representation of the brand to start off?

Right now have the Umbagog in my cart, as its one i have seen others smoking quite often, but looking for whatever you think is the brands flagship, only caveats being: nothing more than $8 each, and available in at least a Belicoso or larger, preferably toro or Torpedo.

I'd say start with the Mi Querida. I can't remember which one I liked more, but I think it was the blue band.

I've had only a few DT&Ts, but they are tremendous smokes. Stillwell Star English and Sin Compromiso were the only other two I've had, and both were excellent.

Go big or go home. If its not a Unicorn its not worth smoking.... I mean umbagog is a solid choice. Then Mi Querida. samplers are always a solid choice. Stillwell star have pipe tobacco so they can be unrepresentative of his other work.

I agree with the sampler idea. I buy a lot of them , but didn't see any for DT&T.

Will have to look a little harder.

Good suggestion. It'll be tough going otherwise to keep under that $8 mark - much of Saka's stuff eclipses that.

Yeah, more browsing done, and you're certainly correct.

Also, i really should have said $10, not $8. Not sure why i capped it there when I am willing to pay up to $10 for the right cigar, but not for an unknown, so maybe that was my thinking at the time.

As for the samplers, dang, very far from cheap thats for sure.

    i friggin love cigars
