For me, the IT with Davidoff is definitely the leaf quality. They just have a higher standard, I believe, when it comes to selecting their crops and how they use them. No matter which one you smoke, you can tell the leaf quality is just excellent and the flavor is always there. Their attention to detail and QC with their sticks is really top top top notch as well.
I never smoked a Davidoff that I didn't like. Great stuff.

Here's A Noob Question, I'm Sure.....what component (s) produces so much smoke? I had originally thought it was the oils, but have had a couple other NC's that appeared "really oily", and the smoke was...meh, at best.

I honestly don't think the tobacco leaves have much to do with smoke production so much as the proper rolling technique does. By crafting a perfect roll, the tobacco is evenly distributed, the pack isn't too tight, and the draw is perfect. Makes for that perfect air to combustion balance that creates that nice mouth-feel and big billows of smoke. Proper RH and all that boring storage stuff maters a lot too
The leaf I was talking about is all about the proper age and flavor.
Hope that makes sense.

Saka says its from using oily tobaccos. I imagine he's talking more than just an oily wrapper though. Other than that lighter leaf will burn easier. I don't smoke Davidoff but I know they aren't known for being very strong. So I imagine they don't use much if any ligero. Thinner leaf = more combustible = more smoke. Just my guess. A good roll and proper draw is obviously a given.
