Dark Roast Coffee & An Ideal Smoke
Lately I’ve really been in to smoking a cigar with my coffee. Coffee is my breakfast so smoking is on an empty stomach, and I’ve often been put down when smoking so I much prefer something smaller and I’ve just not been much of a fan of full smokes as they’re just a bit much, nor do I care much for mild smokes as they just don’t have much flavor.
Any recommendations for something 30 to 50 ring and short or slightly larger ring but box pressed, and mild-med to med-full?

Nortenos, RC Aquitaine most of the Illusion line up will definitely fit the bill. Personally I'm the total opposite and want something full bodied and strong to perk me up in the Am

Try the My Father CT, JDN Cabinetta, Perdomo Champagne Noir. If I think of anything else I'll chime in again.

I love the undercrown shade for breakfast and it goes awesome with some nice dark roast, but I also like any Cameroon in the morning.

I concur with a nice Cameroon in the morning. Some budget friendly Cameroons:
CAO Cameroon
Oliva G
Carlos Torano 1916
Cohiba Red Dot - don't ever pay MSRP for these - they can be had for a lot cheaper via CigarBid, especially in their Samplers section. It's a great morning cigar.

Thanks for all of the input! I’m not familiar with any of these, except maybe the Olivia G.
I was warned about the Cohiba series (red and black dot) not being a very good smoke. I went ahead and tried the black dot and felt the advice was solid. I only have one or two of those left and don’t recall precisely what I thought. Maybe it’ll be my next coffee smoke. The red dot is much better?
As an aside I’ve been contemplating buying a Maduro roll it yourself kit (Leaf Only unless someone has a recommendation) and seeing about making a mold that creates a 40-something ring and 6.5-7” long. I figure I can then create the length I want, and though I find anything 30-something ring to be acceptable I’d prefer a low 40’s ring and 3.5-4” for a quickie smoke. I want to like the Nub cigars but it seems they’re always really fat and 52 ring is about as much as I like unless it’s box pressed. The small cigars makes me think of the old spaghetti westerns with Clint Eastwood. Not a bad thing.

Crowned heads Luminosa is great with coffee, I bet the Romacraft Intemperance would be too
I don't have emotions, and sometimes that makes me very sad.

I haven't had the Cohiba Black, but yes, I do like the Cohiba Red Dot. Like I said, it is extremely overpriced and NOT a super premium like Cigars International will have you believe. However, it is a tasty, medium-bodied smoke that's great in the morning. I've purchased them through CigarBid via this sampler:

I've gotten that a few times for around $30, which is a great price. I like the other cigars in that sampler, too.

When I got my first rolling kit some years back I spoke a lot with Marc L. Very helpful. Thanks again Marc!
