I was in Hartford Ct. on family matters and had some time to kill so took a little side trip out into the country side. We have all seen Conn. wrappers on cigars.
These are just a couple of fields I came across while driving. There were crews out in the fields cutting and stripping the tobacco and tractors were everywhere
driving it to the barns to be hung to dry. One short stretch of road must have had 20 large barns for drying.
This was outside of Windsor Locks Ct.
If anyone has flown into the Hartford airport this time of year no doubt you've seen very large strips of white linen below you. Shade grown wrapper.
Wonderful place to drive around and see all the tobacco plus all the fruit and vegetables that is grown in that area. Lots of "you pick" farms around there.

Couple of things I've learned. I like good Bourbon and hate wet toilet paper.

That is pretty cool! It’s easy to forget the old Connie leaf is grown right here, stateside.
Thanks for sharing, Don!
