Put me in the corona/petite corona camp as well.
Yep, corona / Petite corona for me. Big ring is big ring now matter how long you roll it
I don't really have a real preference. I tend to stick to 6" or under and 44-50 rg. Having said that, I don't exclude cigars that are outside those parameters. You do get more wrapper flavor from a smaller RG cigar but that doesn't mean it automatically has to have more flavor than a bigger cigar due to less filler. IMO if you blend it properly and have a quality cigar with all quality tobacco you can have much larger cigars with tons of flavor. I'll dip down to a lancero or panatela from time to time and I don't have a problem with some churchills. The only thing I don't particularly care for is over 56 rg. There are some I'm ok with but I'm not going to seek them out or stock them.
Another fella here who really enjoys the corona/ petit corona. Perfect size for when time is an issue
@WNYTONY has gotten me into many things since I've met him and small cigars is one of them. First little guys I had were a Tat Verocu and MUWAT Bait Fish in my noob exchange. Loved them! Since then I've found the Don Pepin Blue Demitase and Cabaiguan Petite Cabaiguan to be excellent little smokes.
The one little guy I've tried and not really cared for was the L'Atelier Surrogates Cracker Crumbs which I know a lot of people just love.
I've really wanted to try the Alec Bradley Maxx Nano but haven't yet.
Now my go to is still a toro-ish size, but I've been liking these sizes as a change of pace.
Short and fat for me I guess. I universally like anything around 4", and enjoy anything from roughly 30-50rg. I find length determines smoking time more than rg ever will (for me anyway), and usually have less than an hour to smoke.
Ring gauges from 42 to 46, maybe 47-48-but not above 50 tops, and Corona size, including the 7' Coronas that are my #1 cigar.
I like most sizes, but when you get over 56, it's a little much. I do still have several 60rg cigars that I'm smoking as I have the time and desire...
I had initially drawn the lawn at 50 ring, but I've been given a few slightly over and haven't been overwhelmed despite my 5'8" frame at 155. Still, I don't want a branch sticking out of my mouth!
And I always think about he Clint Eastwood flicks from way back when with the small ring shorties. He looked cool enough back then, though it's a neutered stick...
Robusto (5" X 50 RG) is about the sweet spot for me. I do some larger and smaller RG's sometimes too. I've had a lot of Lanceros with a too-tight draw and find that the "wrapper to filler ratio" thing doesn't hold water according to my taste. They're not my favorite. There some are large RG's (56-60) that I really like and they usually have a nice, easy draw.
