From what I can tell it is completely random...also...I believe that the prices for the rapid fire aren't any better than their normal prices on their everyday deals page...essentially it seems more like an advertising gimmick.Quote:

Chris, I noticed today that they actually change the price on the original page at the same time the 5 minute deal is going on. So Flor de Ants were 79.99 for the 5 minutes, when I went to the regular page for them they were 79.99 as well. As soon as the deal ended the original page went back to 89.99.
