Cigarbid.com stole my money

I've been ordering from cigarbid for almost two years and have spent thousands of dollars there.

On Friday August 6 I won about 45 items for a total of $115 or so. I set my shipping preference to "daily" so it would ship Monday. It didn't. It was still "processing" that whole week and did not ship.

I started a thread in the cigarbid forums asking if others had the same issue. Some people chimed in that they did.

So I contacted cbid customer service via email and they said it would ship by the end of the week or, at the latest, the next Monday. It didn't.

But what did happen was they banned my account from posting in the forums. And today I tried to log into the site and it wouldn't allow me to even log in to check my orders, giving me an "Error 789. Please contact customer service."

When I tried to call customer service an automated message said that it was "after office hours" and I'd have to wait until Monday.

So at this point it appears that cigarbid has scammed me out of my money and is trying to prevent me from telling others and even logging in to the site itself. I'm going to have to initiate a chargeback and if that doesn't work I'll have to sue them in small claims court which will be a complete pain in the ass.

Just thought I'd let people know so they would think twice about placing bids at cigarbid.com. There are other bidding sites like Thompson Cigar auctions.

Dude, you have been going from Forum to Forum with this exact story (copy/paste) and your agenda is pretty easy to spot. A lot of brothers use this auction site and what is their gain to scam you? Why would they bring down their CS just to see you get screwed over? Too much about this story that doesn't make much sense as everytime I've ever done business with them they always do things in the right way. Monday is 2 days away...do you really expect them to jump through hoops when they aren't even open for business? Tap the brakes a bit.

I would hardly say that they "stole your money." Delayed your shipment? Yes. Perhaps an item is out of stock? Or they pre-sold incoming inventory. Frustrating? Of course. I wouldn't be so quick to start the chargeback process though. Give them a chance.
If you go around bad-mouthing them on their own forum and then they lock your account, who can blame them?

If for some reason they are not able to fulfill your order, I would highly doubt they wouldn't refund your money. Was your card even charged yet? Patience will be your friend here. I would hate to risk having your account indefinitely suspended when something could be worked out. With getting deals like 45 items for $115, you potentially have a lot more to lose in the future than this delayed order. Give it some time my friend.

Yeah give it some time before jumping to conclusions.
I too have complained about their slow shipping, even when my settings were set with my preferences.
But I never thought they were scamming me out of my money.

I had heard with the new FDA regulations others were having shipping delays as well. It sounded like a lot of people needed to call to get their orders moving for whatever reason. I don't remember the reason, but a few others did mention this. Like others here, I'm hopeful this is just a delay and it will be worked out today when their office opens.

I'd at least wait one more week before you sound the alarms. After another week passes we can pick up our pitchforks & start a witch hunt to get free cigars!
