I went and did it. Got a few singles and a few 5ers.
I was proud, I let a Free Fall E.P. Carrillo 5er sample pack go because I could get the one single from that pack by itself (won it for just $2). I bought a Graycliff for $5, instead of a box of 15 for $53. I really wanted to talk myself into buying the box (the 30 year Cameroon wrappers are really rare, only 500 boxes made, look at what a great deal it is per cigar, etc.) but in the end my willpower and frugality prevailed.
Also got almost every other vitola of 5 Vegas Gold I haven't had (the Robusto and Churchill I passed on. Same RG, and they're all parejos of varying lengths).
I will post a pic when it all arrives

See what happens when you go get yourself a new humidor? You had to go and fill it up, didn't you.?
This is how it begins. Congratulations.

Not everyone has that problem. I currently have 3 containers that used to house cigars and are still sitting empty after getting a larger container. And that way they will remain, unless I win the lottery this weekend.

Yes, you are correct! Some people are able to excersise self control better than others, or have differening levels of inventory in which they are satisfied with and don't feel the need to let that great deal pass by, or don't have to have the newest, greatest special release, or know what their budget is. Not that there is anything wrong with any of those scenarios, if you can afford it.

, I think should be commended for displaying moderation and getting a single rather than a fiver, or not going for the box, even though the lesser price per stick looks attractive and it is a limited release.
It is too easy to let our activities and emotions get the better of us. Things can get out of control pretty quickly.
We should enjoy our hobbies and passions in a responsible fashion.
There, got my fatherly advice out for the day.

Well said. I think it is especially difficult to fight the urge when you hit that point where you start to get more serious about cigars. It's very easy to go overboard.

I must stick with my rules:
1) Smoke a single first.
2) Then buy a 5er. If still good...
3) Buy a box.
If it's a limited release then oh well, plenty more great cigars coming out every day!

Always buy a fiver first for two reasons, smoke one rott, then another a month later, if you like save other three. If you don't find toy enjoy it hold on to it and watch who says they enjoy them THEN BOMB 💣
Better to be thought a fool, Than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
