BOTL or SOTL – Brother of the Leaf or Sister of the Leaf – fellow tobacco enthusiasts
ISOM – Island South of Miami – where magical Cuban cigars come from
RG – refers to either the diameter of the cigar as measured in 1/64th of an inch, so a 42 rg would be 42/64 of an inch. Can also refer to reputation points given to others on the forum when they consider your post worthy of rg.
rH – relative humidity – the amount of humidity in the air <- very simple term
Boxed press – squarish/rectangle shape a cigar gets from being packed tightly in the box

rH - relative humidity - the amount of moisture (water vapor) in the air (or an isolated sample of air, like a humidor) at any given temperature compared against the maximum possible amount of moisture the air in question will hold at that same temperature. 50% rH means the air in question is holding exactly half the water that it could possibly hold were an infinite source of pure water available for evaporation. <- a not so simple explanation
Mad or Maddie = maduro

I've heard people on this forum refer to each other as FOGs. What is that?
I never smoke to excess - that is, I smoke in moderation, only one cigar at a time.
