Being new to the cigar side, im wondering if there's a place like tobaccoreview.com for cigars? I got a few and want to find info on them.

Best bet is Google. There are multiple review sites but no one can review every cigar so you'll have to pick n choose from multiple sites.
We're going to need a bigger humidor

We have a lot of member reviews here, but my favorite independent reviewer is Phil Kohn. His website is Cigar Reviews by the Katman | cigar reviews, cigars

Not saying that's the case with Katman, necessarily, but it's something to be aware of with "pro" reviews. Including Cigar Aficionado (which is actually another good source of reviews, and probably the closest the cigar world has to tobaccoreviews.com, come to think of it.

He has readers who send him cigars, and he buys the rest himself. He almost never gets free review cigars.

That's good to know.

Funny, I was just wondering the same thing! It would be good to have huge, centralized database like that for cigars, but AFIK it's really forums like this one and a few blogs. I usually google and read a few. There's something called stogierate but it doesn't have much on there. Maybe a good business opportunity for someone?

I would not review a cigar prior to smoking it especially if new. Sit back, enjoy the stick, take some notes, then after completed, look at the reviews. Don't let other people tell you what YOU should experience. i was a huge review junky and it got in my head before smoking a cigar. Now I light one up, take notes, and create my own opinion. Just my 2cents.

Astute.
(no thet aint no insultin term.)
Odds on any one cigar smoker's taste being a perfect match with another's, must be about as likely finding two identical grains of sand.
Just too many variables in play.
That said you'll find others whose tastes will be very close to yours.
So far as reviewers are concerned, over time their slant or perceptiveness will change, tho they may not be aware of this.

To me best thing to do is read some reviews ones you like it will help you gauge the reviewer and find someone with similar tastes to you. They are very subjective.
