I don't want anyone sending me a bunch of sight unseen product every month and then billing me for it.
I buy what I want when I want, thank you very much.

I have been eyeing Sam Luccia's cigar club but like Zurg I could just buy what I want. Maybe one day I will give it a go.

Ages past I would buy a blind grab bag from Holts. Found a lot of good smokes in them too! I like the convenience of receiving five (often new to me) cigars randomly selected that a cotm offers.

Sounds perfect for a guy like you then . Especially if you smoke often enough to get rid of them.
I don't smoke that often and when I do, I want to smoke what I want to smoke, not what some stranger sent me. I've always hated surprises. Do we have a curmudgeon emoticon?

I do the Cigar Authority one. It's $19.99 for 4 cigars shipped. Idea is that you can smoke along with the one they are smoking on the show and try to taste the same things. I like it because about half if what you get is not found at the big online sites and I've discovered a few new lines in the process. Thought about doing another or different one and if I did it would probably be Small Batch or Fine Ash.
No cigar until you get a par - birdie if it's a scramble !

Most cigar clubs scare me because I am worried about getting stuck with a bunch of cheap sticks that no one wants. Last time I checked Small Batch is more selective in what they sell compared to a ci or Thompson , so I would be more interested in trying. My biggest issue is I have to many cigars as it is.

If they're sending smokes outside of the norm, I could see it being worth while. But if they're just sending normal production smokes, then I'll rather but on my own.

I have on a few occasions purchased the Cigar Federation sampler. I have considered subscripting to their COTM sampler, but haven’t done so yet. I think it’s like 39.95 for 5-7 cigars, almost always boutiques and often some pretty good ones. I like trying different stuff. You can see what was sent historically out for every month if you want to get an idea of what is typically included.
