Jumpin’ Railcars and Collectin' Cans
Cigar Education
As the colder months approach, I won't be smoking as much, but like to stay up to whats going on in the cigar world and expanding my knowledge on cigars in general. I'm sure this has been discussed before, but maybe there are different opinions/sources. What are some interesting articles, videos, etc. that you like to look at to broaden your knowledge?

If you want some interesting and detailed information on what goes into the cigar industry look up any interviews with Steve Saka. The man is an entertaining wealth of knowledge and puts out some pretty good cigars to boot.
I don't read many cigar articles actually so I cannot really comment on that. I mostly just listen to podcasts and interviews.

I don't tend to read many articles either. I prefer to watch a video, or listen to something on my headphones when working. I try and catch Cigar Advisers on Facebook when they do their live shows on Wednesdays. But past that, I really haven't delved in too much. Thanks for the recommendation!

Check out some of the podcasts. The Cigar Authority is live on Saturdays with video but you can download the podcast and listen anytime. Cigar Federation also has a good one. Both have cigar makers on the show talking about their lines and new projects.
No cigar until you get a par - birdie if it's a scramble !

Good recommendations. I really like Cigar Coop as well. He used to be on the Stogie Geeks show (also a pretty good podcast) but now he has a different show. I've not heard the new show but nobody knows more than Coop. He links to the show from his website. Cigar Coop

Cigar Coop
The Prime time show is good. Stogie Geeks I feel really went down hill once he left.

Anything cigar related that enlightens my education is a good thing even from those who I don't normally like. Education and truth are 2 commodities that never have an expiration date.

Thanks Jesse, I'll have to check it out. Didn't realize he was back. I used to listen to Doc on Stogie Fresh too but he stopped his show a while back. A couple of others have come on, done a few shows and then gone. There's another one on now called The Asholes but they are alot less on Cigar knowledge and interviews so I won't push it unless you are looking for cigar related background noise.

I think Cigar Aficionado has good articles. Is that too mainstream? Does that make me a conformist?
