You should start a Gurkha & Rocky Patel thread and get them both done at once.

RP sucks.
Except for the Edge maduro, Edge corojo, Vintage 1990, Vintage 1992............................................
Wait a minute. It looks like I like RP. Never mind.

This is something that people need to keep in perspective. We all know a few brands that get little to no love. But if we just go around bashing companies its harder to get sponsors on board with us. I don't see anything wrong with dissuading someone from a brand and giving good reason as to why but straight out bashing is just bad taste IMO.

the "Gurkha is worthless" or "Gurkha is nothing but a rip off threads" where very distastefull and a waste of time. now like
@HIM
said its ok to say "hey you may wanna give x a shot if you thought y was a good smoke because its alittle more worth the price or higher quality or whatever"

I gotta agree with the RP and Gurkha stuff. They do have some lines that are good, as long as you're not paying full MSRP. I just don't like the fact that they flood CI with a million lines that no one can keep straight. But that's their own business.

I agree with this, we certainly don't want to dissuade companies from getting on board with us.
But there's another reason as well. If someone likes Gurkha or RP (which I have already mentioned that I do in fact like several of the lines from RP), we don't want them to be dissuaded from posting here on the forum from fear of getting insulted or bashed either. A man who enjoys Gurkha cigars is just as much as a BOTL as one who smokes nothing but Padrons or Davidoffs.
We're all different folks. One man's dog rocket is another man's special occasion smoke. What is good and what is not is completely subjective (assuming construction is acceptable). If we all liked the same things there wouldn't be nearly as much cool stuff to choose from.
I've heard the statement on Puff many times, "Smoke what you like and like what you smoke". Who gives a damn if someone else doesn't like it.

I've not thought of this and will give er a go. Thanks for the post. I've always kept my cello on until the last minute and strip er down to unveil its nakedness. I've kept my cc's in the box for the most part with a few laying out.
