I personally like to light the cigar before I take the cello off, but that's just me

I knew it was coming but wasn't sure who or when. Glad its out of the way and we no longer have to hear about it.

I always keep the cello on. Who's the guy with the pic with the pile of wrappers? A classic post, IMO.

Bump for you! I love this topic, kmsl. You did the right thing to go ahead and mention it.
For the new guys who may genuinely not know. There is no right or wrong way. I keep my non cubans in cello to prevent me from tearing the wrapper when handling them. I've been told it also slows aging a bit, if that's your goal.

Oh yeah, those plastic notes really add to the cigar's flavor profile.

I don't have a method. If I feel like leaving the cello on, I do. Otherwise I take it off.

I leave cello on all my cigars except for my Guten Calas.

If I receive the cigar with cello, I leave it on.
If it comes without cello, I do not attempt to put cello on it.
