I always keep the cello on. Who's the guy with the pic with the pile of wrappers? A classic post, IMO.

For the new guys who may genuinely not know. There is no right or wrong way. I keep my non cubans in cello to prevent me from tearing the wrapper when handling them. I've been told it also slows aging a bit, if that's your goal.
I don't have a method. If I feel like leaving the cello on, I do. Otherwise I take it off.
I leave cello on all my cigars except for my Guten Calas.
If I receive the cigar with cello, I leave it on.
If it comes without cello, I do not attempt to put cello on it.
