Just thought I'd give a quick review for you Bums who couldn't make it.

Cigarfest was about as I expected.
That shop doesn't carry alot of the stuff you or I might like but does have a ton of General and the cigars in the bag were ok but not a great selection.

    Here's what I got:
    Nat Sherman Metropolitan Connecticut Anglers
    H Upmann Banker Annuity
    CAO Flathead Steel Horse Apehanger
    La Palina Classic Connecticut Churchill
Perdomo Factory Tour Blend Sun Grown Churchill
Hiram & Solomon The Veiled Prophet Grand Monarch
    Counsellor Lonsdale
    Cigar Obsession Final Third Robusto
    Psyko Seven Robusto
    Oro Estrella Toro
Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Toro
    JM's Dominican Toro Connecticut
    Exactus Clasico Torpedo

and an Aging Room Quattro Concerto, a custom roll (which wasn't bad) and a Kafie San Andres that I smoked at the event.

Food and music were good and I met up with a few BOTL's from another forum so that was cool to sit and smoke with them all day.
@Ryan137 and I missed meeting up, but afterwards we discovered we were pretty close to bumping into each other and just didn't know it

The reps were all in one building and they would tell you about their cigars but the shop had a little store area set up to sell cigars at shop prices with NY taxes so the deals weren't anything special. 10% off a box or something along those lines.

I'd go again if it was a chance to meet up with some of you fine folk, but if it were just me going to smoke I'd pass.
Glad I got the $50 off my ticket price - others weren't so lucky.
No cigar until you get a par - birdie if it's a scramble !

Tony, I was at a local herf Saturday and spent about 4 hours visiting with zippogeek ((Jason) and Redneck Toy (Robert). Both awesome folks. Did you get a pic from Jason?

Yes I did - with you front and center. I replied back to him and told him you were a good dude and said "grab his ass for me" but I'm assuming the schmuck didn't follow instructions !

Lol, and I gave him ample opportunity. He kept looking at it and I could tell he wanted to, but he just didn't have the berries I guess.

Ha ha - I harassed him about it and told him your comments. From the looks of the food spread and the BOTL's that attended I think I'd have rather been out there with you guys !

Tony let me know how you like the Hiram and Solomon. The guys who produce these cigars are from Jersey and have a lounge not to far from me. I had the opportunity to try the original blend when they first started and it was OK, then had a production one a year later and was not impressed at all. Supposedly the new batch is supposed to be good, but I haven't had the chance to try it.

The food was great, along with the people and the cigars destroyed. I was only there for about 4 hours (12-4) but I heard it went until 2am. It would have been awesome if you could have attended. Plan on next year if you can.

Will do - if I smoke it. I've gotten a few others at events and don't know that I've ever actually smoked one.
