Bit of a Fumble - Could use a brainstorming session

    Hi all,

    I goofed a bit.

I had this crazy idea of getting CBID shipped to a package forwarding service - to have the package forwarded to me in Canada.

However, I didn't read the fine print, and got a message saying they don't ship tobacco internationally.

So I have 2 fair sized packages waiting. I think I can have them hold it for 45 days, but I'm told CBID doesn't use Boveda.

Could use some suggestions on what to do.

I was thinking of having it sent closer to my border (its currently in Oregon) and driving down to pick it up. But with my work schedule and the border delays I'm a little skeptical.

Any suggestions for this ol' bum.

Most creative gets a surprise 5 pack on me

Could u have it forwarded to a fellow Bum who could then repackage it and send it to u? I have no clue how international shipping works or the rules/laws on shipping tobacco across the border

    That's actually a great idea.

I don't think there's any prohibition/restriction with shipping tobacco across the border.

However, I don't think any of the bums I dealt with back in the day (that's right - I was there when the big bang occurred and this place was created) are around anymore.

Anyone know of a bum who could help a bum out (obviously I'd cover costs)?

Could you forward it to a different forwarding service and say it's dried goods? Don't think Cigarbid labeling says tobacco or anything.

Tobacco tax is the only issue I see if paying the tax is not an issue the little to no problem. International can require custom forms. I have received "pens" before. You pay more in shipping so that needs to factor in too. If you got 2 packages waiting this could be a test run.
If it costs you more than you save buying locally I would call it the stupid tax live and learn type of thing. If it works then we can boot leg cigars for ya.

I would be willing to give it a go for a test run.

Customs forms would most likely be the kicker. Thats just a guess

    WOW.... the O.G's coming out.

@Tombstone , thanks so much for the offer, I'll take you up on it next time if that's o.k. Josh came to the rescue this time around. And you're right, the discreet shipping often never has any blowback.

I went a little nuts on the second order, as its my first experience with CBID and I couldn't believe the deals. I got a couple of boxes of Diesels and a bunch of 5 packs.

    @Brimy ... sup!
