Gypsy in the Palace
I resolve to not buy into the hype. Too many boutique companies are selling via the cult of personality ala DE. I like Steve Saka but the Sobremesa is a terrible cigar. The El Gueguenese from Foundation is OK but certainly nothing to write home about. All hat, no cattle.
We're going to need a bigger humidor

i have to disagree i really like the Sobremesa. i think it is a great stick especially for its price. i like the boutique brands and everything they are bringing to the table. there is something for everyone

Never understood the allure of limited runs. If you really like them, too bad cause they're limited. And if you don't, then you've just spent a bunch of money on sticks you don't really like.
It's not a real hobby unless it interferes with your work.

Bummin' Around
My resolution for 2016 is to buy cigars from only my local B&M stores. It's good to support them if I want them to continue to stay in business, and it's way too easy to binge out on CBid for a few days and next thing you know, you've racked up a dozen or more auction wins.

most people who are really into limiteds buy more than a box. if they like em they smoke em if they don't like em they usually sell them becasue someone wants more to smoke or someone wants them and missed out on em or they buy them just to collect em without ever wanting to smoke em

Agreed here! I have somehow accumulated a lot of singles over time. I'd like to consolidate the cigar holdings a bit too.

Smart A$$ Bum
As the resident noob here my resolution is to finish reading this forum front to back and back to front. I think I'm about halfway there and have learned volumes already. I also hope that by the end of this year to be able to repay or at least pay forward some of the unbelievable generosity I am beginning to be a part of here. And you call yourselves "Bums"...
Uh, I'm just gonna go find a cash machine.

Cigar-Smoking Scum
I'd like to smoke more cigars this year, I'd also like to meet up with more Bums, and smoke more cigars with company, in general.
As far as "work" is concerned, I'd like to source some SC lumber and build some real shelves for my wineador (currently just stacks of boxes).
I've done well with really limiting my new purchases, so that shouldn't be much of an issue, and if I finish this damn wineador, I can likely get rid of at least one of my coolers- if not both.
Maybe traveling some more and meeting up with fellow Bums around the country too, as that has so far never let me down one bit
