    Did you plug it in? Best case scenario the fans help circulate the stinky air particles into the newspaper and baking soda. The only problem would be if the fans are powerful enough to cause the baking soda to start blowing around inside

    I'm not sure if all wineadors have circulation fans or if they are like small refridgerators which don't because the internal volume isn't very large.

    Thermoelectric wine coolers have a fan that blows air across the peltier. They are not strong enough though to create any movement of baking soda on the shelves. Most you can put your hand right in front of and only feel a slight breeze.
