Nice work Blake...I especially like the X box idea. Wish I would have thought of that when I built my drawers...

Thanks. I saw it somewhere on the internet and thought it'd be a nice idea for the quick smokes, rather than digging through a drawer for one

Not much of an update but put the 2 hygrometers in and have been working on getting the RH stable. It's dead on 65 at the bottom but hits about 70 at the top. I have about 3/4 lb hf in the bottom and 1/4 in the little drawer plus 2 65 bovedas in each drawer so I'm working on placement of my laptop cooler to see if I can get it to settle a little closer. Also seeing as its within useable RH I might load it up today and see if getting some stock in it might help even it out.

It's now spiked to 74 in the top but staying 65 near the bottom. So I took the beads out and dried them nearly all white and moved my dual fan so both fans are up in the top section blowing forward, hopefully this will help. Really hoping to get my cigars in there this weekend but we'll see...

Are you using anything besides the analog hygrometer to take readings at the bottom? They're notoriously inaccurate, and require periodic calibrations.

I also have a hygroset digital calibrated to 65. If I put it at the bottom its dead on 65 but currently sitting on top of my little shelf reading 73. Hopefully with some patience the hf beads I dried out will take care of it. I'm wondering if I should put the larger pack of hf beads at top and the smaller on bottom.

The issue is that moist air rises. You're always going to have a little variance from top to bottom, although a fan helps.

I'm expecting a variance but am hoping to get it much less than the 8 its at now. A little more fiddling and I'll get it.

Congrats on creating a super nice, in fact luxurious condo for your cigars.
Thanks for allowing us to follow your adventure here in both words and photos.
Most likely there will be several Bums that will follow your blueprint when building their Wineadors.
"I'm sure I'll rearrange it a million times before I decide how I want it but this has given me an idea of what this baby will hold. My meager stash doesn't even begin to make a dent in the storage capacity of this thing."
I'd wager that as you smoke cigars, you shall find the count in your Wineador will steadily climb rather than decrease .
