Only worry with that is what cross border shipping would cost. But thanks I'll keep them in mind

True, forgot about that part. They should be able to give you a free quote if you want. I'm excited to see how it turns out!

Me too. I think I may have found a place in Regina that sells a lot of exotic lumber and such so I'll be hitting them up this weekend. I sold most of my woodworking tools when we moved to Saskatchewan so I'll be limited with what I have to work with so they won't be as nice as wineadors.com but I'll do the best I can with what I have. Hoping to find some assorted sizes to make it a bit easier and with any luck some nice wood for the drawer fronts but we'll see what they have...

Well no local suppliers but I found a place in Quebec that ships reasonably. order placed today so should have the spanish cedar in about a week depending on how fast they ship. Now on the search for something to use for drawer fronts. Really like cocobolo but can't seem to find a decent price on it for the sizes I want. Placed my spanish cedar cigar sleeve in it just to see what it would do and within a couple hours it's all you could smell when opening the door so smell wise it's ready to go.

Blake @bluenoser , thanks to you and another brother, I'm finally motivated into pulling the trigger on one this Friday. Congrats....you got a sweet deal too. I was a little unsure about the cleaning process until reading your thread.....so thanks there too! I be watching your set, up and seasoning steps closely.Good luck with your SC hunt and shelf build!

Got the shipping notification today for the SC and ordered some Paduak for fronts. My HF beads should be here today so I should be able to get them going this afternoon. I'm on vacation this week so hoping everything shows up this week while I have lots of free time to get it together.

Spanish cedar should be here by friday and padauk by next wednesday. So drawers should be in place by this weekend just awaiting their fronts. I rigged up an old laptop cooler to put in it today. It's too wide to lay at the bottom so I'm undecided if I want to leave it standing up at the back like in the picture or trim the plastic so I can lay it on the bottom but either way it'll definitely help circulate air well. The cheap hygrometer I bought has me a bit concerned about RH in the thing. With 3 bovedas and the HF beads in there since monday it's jumping everywhere from low 70s to the mid 80s so I'm pretty sure it's going to get turfed. I have an adjustable analog one on it's way so at least once I calibrate it I'll know where I'm really sitting.

Spanish cedar showed up today so I slapped it all together. Just waiting on my padauk to show up to make the drawer fronts. Definitely no pro job but for nothing but a bunch of hand tools and my half assedness it came out better than I expected. Good enough for who it's for. I'm sure I'll tweak a few things and such as I go but I've got a few extra pieces left over to make any changes I want to make in the future. Might look at building a sliding drawer in a drawer like Automator showed in his thread but that's a ways down the road. Once this things built it'll sit nearly empty for a while as I'm told we're going on a spending freeze, working on a down payment to get out of renting...

Enough of my ramblin, this is how she sits now...
