Installed an under-deck roof above my patio. My lower patio below my deck is where I do most of my winter-time smoking. I sit back in the corner, sheltered from most winds. The deck is above me and helps to trap a little of the heat emitted from my patio heater. Emphasis on little, as quite a bit of heat escapes through the gaps of the deck boards.
The roof will now provide a dry area under the deck. It will provide shelter from any rain or melting snow. With my patio heater, that became a significant problem. The escaping heat would melt snow above that then come dripping right back down on me and the heater.
The new roof/ceiling will also reflect the heat back down to me much better!

I made sure to put in proper slope so water drains away. I may install gutters later.

Looks good. Nice work.
Carpentry was never my specialty for sure.
I'll stick to fixing electronics if I ever am able to return to work.
Here we have a small, all glass, smoke hut very much like you would find at a bus stop, which is right near my room and blocks wind and precipitation well, plus has a comfy bench swing i enjoy swinging on gently while I smoke.
It adds to the soothing, relaxation that I get from smoking cigars.
Unfortunately, its completely unheated, so it can be a little chilly, but with enough layers of proper clothing, i can stay comfortable down to 10 degrees, so not too cold very often. Also has a gorgeous view of the nearby mountains which is nice.
Having a space heater in it would be great, but definitely never going to happen.
Your area looks very nice and protected from the worst of the elements, plus has some heat, so a job well done. I dont think I would have to smoke only PC's and similar size smokes in that environment. I would think larger, hour long smokes wouldn't be a problem like it is here sometimes, which is why I stocked up on boxes of smaller smokes.
Been unusually warm so far this winter, like i have never seen in my 13 years or so in Wyoming, so haven't had to break out too many of them yet and have been able to continue smoking hour long smokes the vast majority of the days so far still.
It can stay like this until spring in April as far as I'm concerned. I'm definitely over cold weather and snow, but can't seem to escape the northern states for more than 6 to 9 months in the navy in Florida then San Diego, other than that have spent all of my life in northern states.
Still hope to escape to somewhere warm year round someday and without crazy humidity like Florida, or crazy heat like Arizona, new Mexico, and similar.
Mid to southern Nevada seems like it would be pretty ideal.
Unfortunately have to be a resident of Nevada to get into their veterans home and that requires a year living there in something rented, which I can't really afford, and being on my own for a year is kinda risky, as it hasn't gone well in the past.
