Which Type of Cutter
This may have already been asked before, but how do you choose which cutter to use?
I know of the guillotine, punch and vcutter. How do you choose which cutter to wield?

Palio for me. All the time. Have several options but really never even debate. It just works so good.

Never much luck with a punch as it seems tar builds up more frequent. Guillotine until I got my xikar v cut.... Now nothing but v cut no matter the size. No more too much, no more too little. Perfect everytime.

Just got my Cuban Crafters Perfect Cutter and so far it's...well...perfect!

I'm with

V-cutter for me as well.
The only exception is Sancho Panza Double Maduro - the caps will not withstand v-cutting. They can usually take a very sharp punch, almost always a very sharp guillotine.
Insert witty comment here ...

I love my punch. No tar problems because my RH is high and I smoked slowly.

Well, I HAD a Xikar Xi2, 'til I lost it
Am looking at a V-cutter, weighing that against another guillotine

I've been using my montecristo punch for the summer and I love it.
But now you guys have me very interested in v-cutters...
If I need to cut, I use a colibri CAO grip cutter that I got with a box purchase from CI.

Your local B&M can provide a v-cut if you want to try it, or if you have ABC Liquors near you you can pick up a cheap one for about 4 bucks that will last for a while. That's where I got one and after using it for a couple of weeks I knew it was the cut for me. After that I picked up the Xikar and even got the Xikar keychain v-cut so I'm never without one. Yeah, I have a problem.
