Treasure Dome

Over the summer the Mrs won me a treasure dome.
I've been using 65% Boveda (like 6 of them) for humidification.
I seasoned it to Herf-N-Terf's specs using DW in a dish.
I noticed that my rH was dropping, as low as 58%!
I checked the seal & it's not horrible, but it's not good either.
When I do the paper test it "curls" the paper instead tearing it.

Besides painters tape, What can I do to sure up the seal?!)!

I have used beeswax and weather stripping in the past.

I used weather stripping to seal my end table humidor's doors and drawer. Something thin and able to be compressed. Found mine at the Home Depot. Something like the pic below but I think mine allowed more compression.

FWIW, I (personally) wouldn't worry too much about 58%. In the winter my humidor keeps around 61-62%, and around 65% when it's warmer. But, to each their own as far as RH goes.

You can also place your sticks in a zip lock with a boveda and then re-season your humidor for a couple days. I'm about to do the same as the dry winter air takes its toll.

I threw them in a Tupperware!
About to put them back in the humi tonite or tomorrow! It holding a steady 76% for the past 24 hours. I know when I load it up that will drop because the sticks in the Tupperware are reading 60%.

I wound up using the painters tape. Now I have to actually close the top so I'm thinking I have a pretty good seal now!
