What do you use when you travel?

Well we've decided to cancel our Disney vacation this spring due to a mix of local economy taking a hit (I'm straight commission so when economy's down my pay's down) and Canadian dollar being so low to the US dollar so instead we're thinking about heading west for a week through the mountains and out to the west coast (Vancouver) for a week. This has me thinking about how I'm going to bring along some cigars to enjoy along the trip. I know I could just toss a few into a Tupperware container with a boveda and be done with it but I think I'd like to grab something a little nicer and sturdier. We'll only be gone a week and I'll probably bring the pipe/baccy with me too so won't need anything too big. What do you use when you travel?

Either a CigarCaddy or an Otterbox. Both of these have an airtight seal. If the sticks are properly humidified you can safely leave them in for a couple of weeks without any humidification device. They have foam in them with "slots" for the cigars to safely travel without moving around. You can get them in many sizes from a 2 count to a 40 count. IMHO these are the best traveldors available.

I see cheaphumidor has a Triple Travel Accessory Combo that has a 4 cigar case with lighter and cutter for a decent price, these cases much good? I'm still lighting with a zippo and don't have a cutter (just been using a .308 casing punch) so it would cure a couple issues with 1 purchase.

Looks good. Even if the seal is not perfect you could just put a water pillow in it. You will know how well it seals if it is hard to open. I have had to use a screwdriver, key, knife, etc. to open my Otterbox before because the seal was so tight.

At that price I say go for it.

Understandable why you canceled your trip. Between work being slow & the dollar diving, along with about a 2.5% exchange it really hurts to have to pay my US bills every month now.

I cant talk from any experience with cigar transport other than tupperdor. I carry less expensive smokes for a week at a time while on my work shift, and they do just fine in a quart storage bag...and the price is right too

Yea we just didn't want to have to pinch pennies on the trip because of it all. We'll try again when things turn around, maybe next year.

Does anyone know who Cheaphumidors uses for shipping to Canada?

That looks like a great setup, but I'm not sure about your math. 4 cigars in 7 days does not add up to me.
