    Time to upgrade storage

So I've been planning to make some box purchases in the not too distant future and realized I don't want to keep buying jars every time I make a purchase. So the decision I'm working on is taking one of my coolers and making a coolerdor out of it or picking up a used wine cooler (can be had for +/- $50) and starting a wineador. Should I take the cheaper step and take over the cooler or take a leap into the wineador?

Personally if it doesn't get too warm where you are, a cooler is probably better. Bigger storage for less money.

If I lived in Arizona then I'd probably invest in a wine cooler.

You're probably spot on with this advice, but I am JONESING for a winedor myself. I know it's coming...

it get's pretty hot here in the summer but I keep them in the office in the basement which so far seems to be staying rather cool. We just moved in over the winter so I don't know for sure how it will be in the middle of summer but my cigars in my jar-adors haven't seemed to be affected by temperature.Other than temp. is there a benefit to a wineador?

Lol. It's supposed to be low 90's here over the next little while and known to get over 100 during the summer. Thinking I'll most likely go the cooler route if temp control is the only benefit to the wineador

They're classier looking. The three main drawbacks, IMO, are:

    1) Cost. Both up front and in electricity when it's plugged in.
    2) Some have a funky smell at first, that can take some work to eliminate.
    3) When they get plugged in for the hot summer, the RH often times drops due to the cooling system. Like down into the 40%-50% range. As opposed to having it plugged in all year where this is less of an issue once you get it up and running.

@bluenoser , I went the fridgedor route. Got a 1.8 cu ft mini fridge for free (it didn't freeze), and gutted the mechanicals, wood lined it, and put a humi care electronic humidifier in it. I am, however, now looking for a 4-6 cu ft mini....
