    Thermoelectric vs compressor

So in my search for a storage upgrade I'm leaning more towards a wineador. That said I'm a cheap bastard with (or because of) a wife who hates the cost of every hobby I have. I've found it hard to find a decent sized thermoelectric wine cooler that can be shipped to canada for a reasonable price. I have how ever seen a few older compressor type wine coolers for reasonable price. There's an older model 35 bottle danby for 1/4 of it's original price I've been able to find (shipped to me for less than $150). My question is how much of a headache will I have trying to maintain RH assuming I run the compressor to control temperature? I've been reading a thread from our old home of Mad4Cigars who was given some bovedas to do an experiment on their ability to control RH in a wineador but the thread ends without saying if he ever turned the compressor on. And a successful thread from dr.dirty with a 34 bottle vinotemp compressor style. So If I plugged the thing with kitty litter or HF beads, and had a matching boveda in each tray/box, and an External temperature controller would this be enough to combat the swings in RH created by the compressor turning on?

compressor will suck out the RH too much. you will never be able to keep control of it. No sense trying to compensate for it. You can get a thermo-electric unit for cheap if you hunt for a scratch and dent. I got a new 28 bottle Newair that had a small dent in the back of it for $140. You cant even tell there is a dent. And it has performed flawlessly for 1 1/2 years now while running 24/7
