    Refilling lighters

So lately on running into issues with almost all of my lights from ronson to vertigo to lotus to soft flame. When empty I purge completely turn flame to low and obey to fill. Wait a few seconds full again and let sit ten minutes. Warm hands and proceed to light. Sputter at best. Fill again let sit light.sputter again. Wth. I didn't used to have this problem. We need a sticky on lighters..... If there isn't already one.

What kind of fuel are you using? I have had issues when using cheaper fuels. Since I switched to Xikar and other multi filtered fuels I have had no issues.

I put mine in the freezer when they're empty, sometimes for an hour, sometimes I forget and leave them there overnight. After I take them out I do a final purge, turn the flame all the way down and they fill up completely in about 1.5 seconds. Then I throw them back in their drawer and let them reach room temp. Once they're back to temp I adjust the flame and they're good to go.

Maybe try using some of that canned compressed air for cleaning computers and blowing out the flame nozzles.

When refilling lighters, be sure to keep your hands away from the trigger mechanism. Let's just say I had two patients one night because of that...

I thought it was the spark element that usually went out.

    My procedure is this:

    1) Turn flame down to the lowest setting. My theory is this seals up the business end.
    2) Turn the lighter upside down and purge it until there is no more hissing sound. This can take awhile.
    3) Place them in the freezer for ten minutes.
    4) Fill them back up. I do it twice for a few seconds each.
    5) Allow them to warm back up to room temperature naturally, then adjust the flame back up a bit and test light.

Yeah the igniters quit too but the jets also clog and give out as well.
