Punch, guilloine, V cut or other

So take the poll and let us know which type you prefer.

    I'll start.

Since I got my Xikar V-cut years ago that's about the only cutter I use anymore. Makes a nice cat's eye cut which I can test out the draw of the cigar. If it needs a bit more draw then I'll cut the opposite way to make a cut that looks like a +.

The great thing I like about the v-cut is I don't have to worry about cutting a shallow cap and having it unravel on me and it works for perfectos too.

I do the same. Xikar now has a keychain version I use all the time.

I currently only have a cheap single blade cutter that mauls a cigar as opposed to cutting it, and my sharpened .308 casing punch. The punch has done a beautiful job on everything so far, tho I have a couple smaller sticks it's too big for and a diesel unholy that just won't work with it so they're resting until I get something else. Plan to grab a decent dual blade cutter and a v-cut sometime to try

I can't take the poll cause I use a punch and a guillotine equally. Any size over 44 I punch anything under I cut.

Xikar Metal V-Cut for me. I say it's the 3rd best thing humanity came up with, after cigars and scotch.

I agree with David. Punch then cut the ones too small to punch.

I punch anything big enough, and cut anything small... so I didn't vote, like David.

same here. Hell I'll even use it on a torpedo sometimes. If its a large enough gauge I will sometimes do the x-cut. Since I have been using the v-cut I almost never have unraveling issues anymore
