Overflow Is Soon On Its Way

So I have a few hobbies/obsessions, which makes spending hobby funds almost a chore. Who wants to have to make decisions about these things?

One is shooting my percussion black powder weapons. But having moved there isn't a friendly place for me to make smoke near enough so I haven't been shooting in quite some time. Maybe that's good because it leaves me with two other major hobbies to feed being brewing and cigars.

I bought a grain mill to take advantage of storing excess grains which is beginning to pay off, which will soon allow me to focus a bit more on buying sticks.

I've been using a Tupperware container to keep the bulk of my sticks in order with an occasional lunch meat type container for the few it wouldn't handle. But my container is about 2/3 full and I'll be ordering more sticks at the end of the week. As I doubt my stash will get depleted as it has been I pondered my storage options initially thinking of using an ice chest, but I don't want to give any of them up that has a proper sealing lid so I dumped the corn sugar used for carbonating beer into a different container so I could have the sister Tupperware for cigar use until I finally purchase a proper humidor.

    This is my current situation:

I've been eyeing 150-200 stick Humidors from CheapHumidors and will be posting links with questions soon enough.

I use a couple of coolers and have had no problem with them. They seal well and hold the humidity.
Plus their not expensive and come in several sizes
Couple of things I've learned. I like good Bourbon and hate wet toilet paper.

I've been using one these for over a year now without any issues. I'm not sure how many it holds but I have a couple smaller back ups just in case.

I think I paid less for it at walmart too

That's too bad you had to give up shooting. Luckily creating a cooler filled with sticks is the perfect thing to occupy your imagination!

My smaller coolers are of the roll top design which certainly won't hold in the humidity. The 12-18 can/bottle sized ones are often used, and then there are the larger ones.

I can foresee a proper humidor...

That's the positive thinking I'm looking for! Not shooting sucks as it means I'm also not casting bullets or making Gatofeo's #1 lube for them. I enjoy that too...

Just imagine what that equals in cigars.

Not quite enough. I have three slightly smaller than that and they all got filled up way to quickly. Plus the small one just for short sticks, and the small one at work.

@rodwha , Go for something far larger than you ever think you will need.

To be honest mine is almost full, I rotated them the other day I should have counted. I do have a larger container it's the big ziploc brand with the foam seal in the lid. I got that first and didn't have enough cigars in it, and my bovedas dried up way to fast.

I've been eyeing these. I ordered a slightly smaller one yesterday to keep a handful of go-to's in.
