Got my Xikar Allume in today. It's so small, it's almost... cute. But it's got one heck of a single jet. I really like the thing! It's still a virgin though! Damn, cold, cold, temps!!

These are the lighters I started with about a little over a year ago:
As of now, only four of these are still in rotation- guess which 4? - Just can't beat a Don Ronson for the price IMO
I do admit that I also tend to carry around a BIC with me as well, but that combo is really all I have ever needed
I love my zippo with the dual flame insert. It's great
Pissing off people since 1973.....and getting better everyday
I have Xikar's, Black Ops., Colibri's, and a Bugatti that I purchased, and some others that I received in trades, bombs, etc., but my favorite is the Cigar Savor Dual Torch with Punch. While in the D.R., I was running low on butane on the two lighter I took on vacation with me, and I talked one of the guys selling cigars in the square in La Romana to throw in the lighter as part of the package. I leave this thing outside in the cold and rain, and it never fails. Its the first lighter I reach for when at home. They're pretty cheap on Amazon and eBay when you can find them.

I picked up the vector diablo lighter first, triple flame and decent punch. I've been happy with it so far. Just picked up some ronson jetlites to keep in various places so I always have a lighter handy.
Just receive that ...

I got a Vector Trimax 2 years ago for $30.00 when I first started smoking, and it works just as well today as it did when I got it. Looks like the newer versions come with a punch for the same price.
I'd recommend getting a cheap lighter first. I made the mistake of getting a number of mid-shelf priced lighters and regretted it. An expensive lighter doesn't make your sticks taste any better.
In my opinion, it's just foolish to spend a big wad of cash on a lighter...they get lost, smooshed, what have you. So, I really like Vectors and JetLites, available at my local B&M...and for me, they stretch the lighter budget at about $15-20. I bought a couple of Ronsons on-line, very fine lighter, and I got a butane insert for a Zippo lighter which works quite well for me!
I will say that having a punch right on the lighter is a very nice feature, and I can find those within my twenty buck limit!
Lighters are a preference for sure. If you smoke larger ring guages go with a double or triple torch. And look for one with a fuel window. I'll never get another lighter that gives me no indication of fuel level! I inherited a couple of NIBO triples that are reliable and generally inexpensive.
