Lol, i grew up with a tv where the picture would roll or get all scrambled, and this was the only solution that would work.

Its only had 1 tank of fuel through it, so everything is perfectly clean and the spark is bright and easily visible. Even pumping the fuel in as suggested doesn't want to work this morning.
Think its going to spend eternity in my spare lighters baggie in the accessories drawer and I will stick to my cheap triple torch Lotus Vertigo Cyclone lighters.
For $5 each they are cheap, durable, reliable and light a cigar quickly and easily, plus the entire fuel tank is visible so you always know when it needs a refill.
I've had some of them last several years using clean fuel, and never actually had one die, losing it was always the reason it didn't last longer.
Gave up spending a bunch of money on lighters years ago when I discovered cheap ones the do just as good of a job.
Only thing I will always pay a little extra for is cutters as i have learned that cheap ones are either not very sharp from the start, or get dull quickly, and a poor cut always leads to a peeling wrapper, so I pay a little more for a Xikar or Colibri knowing that the quality and sharpness will be better and they will stay sharp long past the point i feel they have paid for themselves.
We never called it a "drop check", it was always a "catapult test", lol. Gotta make sure they can handle that initial launch jolt, lol
And F-14 cameras that just refused to work no matter what was done to them always seemed to have a "hail strike" on the lens, which are identical to a whack with a ball peen hammer, lol
