    How many lbs beads needed?

So I'm about to pull the trigger on a 28 bottle wine cooler and would like to order some RH beads along with it? How many lbs will I most likely need? Not against ordering too much but want to make sure I have enough

Which beads are you planning on using? Heartfelt?

Each tube services a certain amount of cubic inches. Figure out how many cubic inches your humidor is and you will know which tube or tubes you will need for your humidor. Or one pound will service 5 cubic feet.

I am not sure if they are the same media or not, but I have been using HCM beads for the last few months in my 32 bottle chiller, and the RH level has been rock solid without touching them at all.

If you're using Heartfelt, I did my set-up based on the calculator on their website, and I have had no issues with everything working properly.

Yea I'm thinking Heartfelt seems to have a good rep so I'll go with them. Thanks!

I've been using the same HF beads for over 12 years now and I have about a lb and a half divided up between each shelf in my beverage cooler. It's a little bigger than a wine cooler so I would say a 1 lb should be enough.

the calculator on HF's website put me between 1/2 and 1 lb so I'll go 1 lb. searching around tomorrow for some spanish cedar and a hygrometer. Can't wait to get this thing setup. Thanks

Do you guys separate the beads into a couple packs or all together?

How many pounds of beads? Well that is easy. 0 of course.

Now how many pounds of efficient, wonderful, and cheap kitty litter do you need? Well that is an entirely different matter

PS: The answer to the kitty litter question is who cares? Kitty litter is so cheap you can buy it by the bags full and have as much RH stability as you want

I've already ordered a lb of hf beads. But if I feel I want more I'll add some kitty litter into the fridge to help out.

Always a good thing to have all you need...having a bit more you know you're good, and can relax, get the setup done get some goodies in there, and enjoy.
