Got my first keychain cigar punch
I figured what the hell, might as well fully embrace my hobby. Nothing like always having a hobby-related implement on you to do so.
EDIT:
Read my review of the following three keyring punches here:

Smart man, or woman sorry I don't really know you. I'm a huge believer in a keychain punch.

I've usually struggled with the draw from a punch... Keep 'em around 65-68%...
What gives?

How large of a punch? Generally a dedicated punch is larger than one attached to a lighter, for example.
Some cigars just don't like to be punched and need a larger cut, in my experience. This is one of the reasons why I always do a pre-light draw, sometimes you just need a bigger opening...even with a cutter.

I always have a knife on me. I have poked holes to get the job done. Maybe I should make a .223 punch one night.
Good call on always being prepared.

I haven tried my new .223 punch from
@Gunther7912
but tried a diff punch on an H Upmann and made a 'clover' pattern w/ 4 punches before satisfied with the cold draw.

I need to make a .223 punch for my keychain...I'm sure I've got a friend with an empty one laying around. Just out of curiosity, which keychain punch did you get?

Just a cheapy on ebay. It was the smallest one I could find. The nicer ones are a good 2" long x .75" dia. and I didn't want anything that large. This one is 1.5 x .5 and is fairly unobtrusive. I don't understand why they can't make them even smaller, I don't like a bunch of crap on my keyring.
The punch itself is 7-8mm, not large by any means. But so far haven't had a problem with any draws. And if I encounter a tight one I can always punch a few overlapping holes to widen it up.

It's not a real hobby unless it interferes with your work.
