    Humidor Upgrades

Well it finally happened, I jumped off the deep end and bought two larger humidors. I really like the performance of my Berkeley II 100 Count, and have zero complaints. I just need more room, and I would like to also have a place to store some boxes of my favorites to rest to perfection.

With Kayla's help I decided on the two below

This one will be my primary humidor for singles

I will be taking the dividers and shelves out of this one, to accommodate box storage.

I am very excited to get them as I am sure you all understand. I plan to season them the same way I did the 100 count I already have (which will now be used for overflow singles) with Boveda 84% seasoning packs. Because of the size difference I will be using the 320 gram packs. I also plan to use the 320 gram 62% or 65% packs for humidification. I believe Boveda says to use 1 60 gram pack per 25 cigars a humidor can hold. I like to use more, just to be safe, therefor my thought process is both the new humidors can hold up to 500 cigars. If my math is right that would mean I should be using aprox. 4 of the 320 gram packs in each of the new units, which means I may use 5 each to play it safe.

Do any of you see any problems doing it like this? I plan to order the seasoning packs as well as the humidification packs this weekend. That way I will be ready to go when they arrive next week. I figure 3-5 weeks to season and stabilize them to my desired RH for use. It took my 100 count about 2 weeks to season, and then a little under a week to stabilize at 65%.

Thanks for any insight or help, and again a big thank you to Kayla @cheaphumidors for all her help!

Sounds like a solid plan. One day I will have to pull the trigger as well. I stopped counting after a dozen humidors.

It just worked out better for me this way, and yes I know they are rechargeable. I have been using them in my 100count and tupperdors for years now. I have a special tupperware container I use to recharge them, using distilled water, and it's been working out well.

Let's be real. Tony doesn't need any prodding to fill humidors.
