Humidor with poor seal

So I picked up an Adironaack Humidor on a whim at a steal from CBID and it arrived yesterday while I was out of town.



It looks great but I opened it and two opposite corners had HUGE gaps in them!





I called customer service and they were quick to take care of it luckily so I hope that the new one arrives alright! This one is for my office

Yeah, that's pretty bad. I'm glad they are taking care of it for you though. Let us know how #2 is when it comes in.

Doh! I hate it when that happens! The next one should be perfectly fine, the Adirondack is a HUGE seller and we rarely have issues with it. And of course they took care of it, everyone knows they are AWESOME!

Either way, I'm calling for my money back and may need to get in touch with Kayla on one of these... My office has now been teased with it's presence twice!

That sucks! Keep in mind they will swell some and the gap will close a bit as you season it, but that does look like a pretty decent sized gap.

I considered that. But if it doesn't then it may be tougher to return.

Maybe silicone the corners?

Hate to have to rig a brand new purchase however...

I would try to just return it. You could get some aquarium sealant for it but like you said, you shouldn't have to start doctoring a new purchase right away.
