I'm hesitant to address this here since I'm loth to hijack the thread, but here goes anyway>
Ummm... the whole idea behind dry boxing is to slowly decrease the moisture content of the stick. By using a vessel with that stout of a seal, it's going to be hard to accomplish this. For this reason, typically we use an old cigar box, or unseasoned humidor. Basically, all you're trying to do by putting it in
anything is just protect the cigar from damage while it's drying. Using a cedar box of some sort offers the additional benefit of more uniformed dehydration.
That looks to me like, with the help of some trays, boxes, spills, etc., that container would make an awesome humidor. Don't waste a 65% Boveda on seasoning those spills. You can just spritz them with a mister, or even wipe them with a clean, damp cloth. The only time we need to use more fancy, controlled humidification media is when we need to take precautions against warping.
