New Humidor

Hey All,

So currently I have a 50 count desktop humidor (the one from the CI samplers) and a large airtight tupperdor where I keep most of my stock.

I'm looking to replace the desktop, the seal is mediocre at best so I just keep the stuff I want to smoke soon in it to dry out a bit prior to smoking. I like the aesthetics of a humidor on my shelf next to my liquor so I'd like to get something that looks nice but with a bit more storage and a better seal.

I know it's a bit of a no-no but I am a big fan of having at least some kind of viewing window into my stock so I can do a quick check of things. I don't mind having to add some silicone sealant around the window to get a better seal.

I would prefer to keep things under $100 dollars but I picked this point out of thin air and could be convinced to go higher if the price is justified. I'm also happy to buy second hand.

What would y'all recommend for a nice looking desktop humidor in the ~100 count range with a good seal, a window and around $100?

I considered it as I would like to get there eventually but I really just don't have the space for one right now. The tupperdor I can stick in a closet.

If you are looking for something with a glass top or some view of your sticks, I would go with the Dalton:

Also, I am pretty sure Prestige Import Group is launching a new semi-glass top humidor this year. I have a vague memory of seeing it in the new product launch catalog a month or so ago but now I cannot find it. But I remember thinking at the time that it was perfect for a small glance at the cigars, without being a full glass top. I emailed my rep this morning to get that email update re-sent.

Also, we do not carry this one currently but I have heard good things, especially since it has the Caliber 4R digital Hygrometer built-in

Once you've gotten one you like, and are satisfied with the seal, make sure it's away from direct sunlight.

I can certainly get it for you if you would like, I can drop ship it from them directly to you. Honestly, I never got around to ordering it last year when it was launched. My rep brought me the prototype when he visited and I loved it, but then I just forgot about it because I have the memory of a gold fish.
