Bummin' Around
John, answered my e-mail last night. He appreciated the invitation and it sounds as though he checks in here from time to time, though he never posts. His concern is that since he's so busy building humidors and drawers that posts may go unanswered for a time. It's probably best to e-mail him at [email protected] with inquiries or to discuss ideas. I picked up something on another site that someone was building a website for him. Not sure if it will be an e-commerce site or informational. I'll keep my eyes open to see if that develops.

Just got my Drawers from John..He is definitely a true craftsman... curious if you seasoned them before putting into use and if so how long... if not, did it have any effect on maintaining your desired RH?

It was so humid out during the week they were delivered, I was cautious. I put one drawer in, and left the others in the box in the garage. The humidity was up a bit the next day, so I brought the rest of the drawers into the air conditioning and unwrapped them. Let it go over night and put them all in. I should have probably waited longer. I'm still hovering at 69% to 70% versus the 65% I was at before. This is with HF Beads.
I wouldn't worry too much about seasoning with the summer we've been having!
Enjoy those drawers. I love mine!
