    Either way...nice score!

I use active humidification in mine. I use two of the Hydra LG Humidifiers. Got them on cigarbid for half price. I swapped out the foam for some different beads that just hold moisture & evaporate. It's worked for me since 2010.

I appreciate all the advice. I had read somewhere about keeping it out of the sunlight. The spot it's in now should keep it out of the light. Active humidification seems like it's gonna be the necessary route. Hopefully I'll have as much success as you've had!

After some seasoning, caulking, and weather stripping, it's functioning pretty well and nearly filled up.

I went with a Cigar Oasis Plus, which is working well, but may be working too hard. I'll figure that out in the future. The bovedas are just there because I was lazy and threw them in there.

What a steal...great job! It seems that you took care of any issues it may have had and ended up with an awesome humidor cabinet.
