New Cigar Humidor Capacity Calculator
Hey guys! For months we have been working on a capacity calculator for our site. We just got a first draft done and I would love to get your opinions on it!

Wont be able to check the accuracy since my humidor is currently seasoning but the calculator is simple and easy to use. The layout looks good... I give it two thumbs up!

I think I like it. Is there a way to account for drawers and/or shelves such as in a wineador? I just estimated how much space they took in each measurment and subtracted, but maybe a drawer/shelf option would be helpful...? Otherwise very useful.

Nice! I've always just used the 7 cubic inches/cigar rule of thumb, which admittedly has its limitations.
I assume one inputs the outside dimensions of the humidor. Does your calculator take the thickness of the humidor top, bottom, and sides into account?

Unfortunately, after repeated attempts to come up with a formula to account for drawers/shelves/dividers etc. we decided it just wasn't feasible. Well really, the mathematician we hired to come up with this ridiculous formula said it wasn't.

Wow, Someone Knows Me
I like this but agree that a drawer or shelf option would be helpful. According to that calculator my lauderdale should hold about 1800 sticks instead of the 400 to 500 its rated at. Or maybe my measurements are off...a lot!

The calculator calls for inside dimensions

It calculates how many you can physically stuff in there, not necessarily how many you SHOULD store in there. But when I tested it, it was accurate down to the single stick if you store the cigars the way it shows in the diagram, which is pretty impressive, but I would never stuff my humidor that full, no air circulation.

According to the calculator I should be able to fit 330 lanceros in my Salvidor 250 humidor. Of course that doesn't take into account shelves and dividers, buts that's still a big old butt load of Lance storage.

According to the calculator I should be able to fit 28 6x80 cigars in the container I currently have them stored in. Hopefully I don't get to a point where I can actually verify that.
