    Bodega Cigar Cabinet

Didn't want to takeover @Old Smokey thread about reorganizing so here it is.
The wife bought me this wineador because she got tired of all of my tupperadors! Unfortunately for her, it's set up for box storage vs loose sticks which is what I have.
Never heard of the brand before. But info is readily available once Google'd.
It has temp and rH control. Humidification compartment (6"x9"x2") where I can put some beads. At least 2 fans for circulation.
    Now my conundrum is...

...do I make the shelves/drawers myself or do I give Forest some work!
I don't like the tupperadors myself because you wind up handling the sticks too much! I'm looking to get single stack shelves/drawers.
I've found a few sources of Spanish cedar, so we'll see.
Looking to get things set up in the next few weeks. So I'll keep you posted.
Any suggestions will be taken under advisement.

Well my humidor has 2 drawers on top that can do double to triple stacks that I use for bombs. Then 1 shelf and a floor on the bottom. I don't do many box buys so I use trays from dollar and a quarter store to hold other cigars and a few boxes. True Spanish cedar is a hard wood, hard on blades and dust can be irritating if inhaled based on previous research. I would get a quote once you know what you want and then decide if you want to tackle it

@Brimy - I don't know what your skill set is, but I'd say just order what you want from one of the makers out there.

Consider your costs for materials and tools. Workspace comes in to play; as Josh indicated, you don't want a dustcloud of cedar in your living room. And that thing is beautiful and all that glass will showcase any mistakes you make - lol.

Typically, I'd suggest the opposite as it can be a rewarding experience, but I'm not sure if the cost, work and scale make it worth it.

Now if you're a cabinet maker, disregard everything I said - lol.

Sweet looking unit @Brimy tell mama she did all right and she may be a keeper

On the drawers - here's an alternate thought that I did on my 3rd wino.
Measure the slots you have to work with and take a look at cedar trays. They are out there on Amazon and I think Kayla may be able to help.
On mine I was able to take the trays and attach some Spanish cedar to the bottom, cut to fit into the wino tracks and make some quick cheap drawers.
The Spanish cedar slides and the trays have about half an inch of clearance on the sides in mine and I had enough depth for one and a half trays.
Not as fancy as Forrest does but not as pricey and I don't know if he's still doing it. Lots of complaints out there on the long delivery time frames.

If you're interested let me know and I'll send you some pics.

@WNYTONY - So is it like a taking a flat cut sheet or shelf and affixing the cedar trays to it?

Yes but I had 2 inch planks so it was attaching a few of those. Much easier to ship, cut and work with than sheets and no need to cut vents in.
But sheets would work the same way.

I also took some of the shelves from Forrest and used the 2" to make fronts, backs and sides to make some others drawers.

    @SoCal gunner
    Cabinet maker I am not!
But decent skills and I have access to a full woodworking shop at work. So it would just take sourcing the cedar. And I've seen where I can get a 4' X 8' sheet for <$50. @WNYTONY
I've looked at some shelves, but I really want true single stack and the ones I've seen are double.
And I forgot how long Forrest takes to ship!

And I know once I start loading her up things will change. And I know that she is NOT in her final resting spot, but I can live with where she's resting at.
    Much more to come.
