500 cigars, so those are cheaper than $100.00 each. For pre-embargo Punch cigars, that's probably not a bad price.
Not that I'll be buying any ...

Wow, what a haul!
I would maybe splurge on one, just for the experience, given the opportunity.

Noice...
I wonder if this buyer would actually smoke them. According to the article this set was sold in 2017 for roughly $52K (new buyer got a deal) and it doesn't look like any were smoked. More of an art piece then a purchase to smoke and enjoy them.

I wondered that, too. When I was just getting going in this hobby a very generous man sent me my first Clear Havana cigar - a Charles Denby. He asked me if I planned to smoke it and my reply was "I am not a cigar collector." I smoked it. I enjoyed it. I still buy Clear Havanas when I can find them. I'm always on the lookout for pre-embargoes, but haven't yet found any in my price range.

Works out to be $86.77/cigar!
Still too rich for my blood, especially not to smoke them.

I just checked the USPS tracking and they are set to arrive this Thursday! You know BrianWilliams loves a good Cuban. They remind me of the times I interviewed Fidel Castro at the local Arby's in Havana. We'd eat Beef N Cheddars while smoking a fine aged Cuban cigar. If you bums are lucky, I may send you one. But you're really not that lucky.

Yup, people will spend pretty penny on stuff they enjoy/want/collect. Nothing wrong with that imo. Makes the world go around.
First post gets a hearty welcome...Noice.
