I've noticed lately that my wineador has been having troubles maintaining 65 degree temps and I'm not sure where to start. It keeps dropping well below the set temp into the 50's. Anyone on here know much about thermoelectric coolers?

I'm going to unplug it so it stops dropping so low, my basement will keep it near the 65 for now but once the summer heat starts really hitting I don't know how well it will hold. I am probably fine leaving it unplugged but like the peace of mind knowing the temp is right.

May have answered my own question. The air filter on the back was pretty badly in need of cleaning. Maybe not enough air ciculation was forcing it to over work and over cool? Going to let it run for a bit and see

As of this morning when I left for work it was back up to 64 so I think it's good now

And it's still holding at 64 so I guess I need to convince her to put it up in the living room, away from the dusty old basement. That or clean the filter occasionally...

Good news!

She's probably going to tell you to set up a schedule to clean the filters because that thing is not going in her living room!
