Made my first twist this morning

My shredder wore out last night when I was shredding a bunch of whole leaf. It'll take a week to get another one here in the mail. I carefully cleaned all the paper bits out of my little desktop paper shredder and washed the receptacle bin and used it to shred some leaf on a trial run. It did a pretty good job, but some of the pieces were too long for packing a pipe easily. So I put a handful at a time in my tobacco-dedicated blender and gave it a short burst at high speed; the pieces came out just right for smoking:

Then I watched some YouTube videos on rope making and gave it a shot. The core consists of three types of Virginia: red, orange and lemon and the wrapper is Kentucky Fire Cured:

Sliced some off, diced it up and tried a bowl... not bad. I thought it might be bitey, but it wasn't.

& your use of the paper shredder made me LOL but if it works, it works. I've used a pasta cutter myself for the same purpose, which also works, but tends to wear out the bearings.

So it's essentially a cigar you sick in a pipe. Very cool and I've never seen it done before.

Generally you chop up sections of it into little pieces to smoke it in your pipe.
