To Tobias, Haebar, any others who are consistently the EPS here.
How many pounds of tobacco would you guess you have on hand?
How much do you buy on a monthly basis?

Sounds like a good thread to start. I've got over 50 pounds put away. I get the P&C pipe tobacco sampler each month and don't usually buy more than that unless it is a pretty good sale.

FYI: Not that you need to do it this way, but a lot of people have a tin shipped straight from the vendor to the EPS.

Haven't done this in a while. I'd be more than happy to be put on the EPS list. I have enough open stock that I could easily handle a newbie who wanted to do something larger than a single tin trade.

Well today was the day I had recieved a trade with Andrew and man was I blown away. I was just expecting a few things to try out but Andy decided to send a little bit of everything. It is very much appreciated and I cant wait to jump right into them, starting with the 1977 Macbaren's Plumcake (if thats the date of the tobacco, sorry for the noobness on my tobaccos)

That is the date! The few that I left un-dated are relatively new, as in 6 or less months old. Anything noteworthy was marked for you!
And, I did receive my end from David - a jar of Bacon Old Fashioned and a jar of Back Down South, both from BriarWorks (but made by Cornell & Diehl). I've only opened the OBF so far and man-oh-man is it awesome!

I was thinking earlier that I should note what each blend was like, otherwise i'd end up forgetting about a few until I stumble accross it again.

Any interest in continuing with this?
I know the pipe section here on the Bum seems to have died down a fair bit over the years based on number of recent posts, and dates on formerly popular threads.
I'd even go so far, for myself personally, as to bend the rules a little and offer up 5 1oz bags as the NPS for 5 1oz bags from an EPS (unless it's something we'll aged, then I think a half ounce only would be more fair for the EPS)
I friggin love tobacco!

Cool, that's 1 vote. I'm willing to bet the issue will be a lack of newbies. I seem to be the only one, and the pipe forum is pretty dead, which is a shame. It seems it's heyday was years ago, and people have stopped posting in here now.

Cool, 1 more. Hopefully we can get this running again, even as a blind 1 for 1 trade vs the original rules of 1 tins worth fronm a newbie and 5 oz prom the old timers.
My intent wasn't to get free tobacco like in the original rules, as I have received several generous bombs here and on Cigar Weekly.
An even trade would be fine with me. I suspect the newbies will still greatly benefit from the trade given what I've seen of the pipe community.
However those interested want to do things can be worked out easily I'm sure, as I'm certainly flexible on it.

Weather is starting to turn a bit colder, though we're supposed to be in the 70s next week. I'm ready to start pulling the pipe out for the cold days and days where I can't commit an hour+ to smoking.
I'm primarily interested in anything containing cigar leaf, and anything I didn't get for Christmas last year. I'll post up what I have soon.
