So I bought a straight Savinelli billiard on eBay a month or so back. It arrived in 2 pieces, and not the 2 it was supposed to. It broke off at the tenon.

So I contact the seller and he immediately offers to make it right. He says to pick out 2 from his store and he will ship them to me for free.

I look at his store and see a very cool Molina pipe and told him to send me that one and we would be even. He insists that I pick out something else, so I tell him to send me a Zippo lighter (he had a few).

I get the package today and it has the Molina pipe, the Zippo and a nearly new Fe.Ro pipe. It is a beautiful pipe and doing some research, they make them from $40 entry level pipes to really nice pipes in the $200 range. This one falls in the middle.

So I scored big time without asking to. Do any of you have experience with these brands?

I'll post pics when I get home from school tonight.

Looking closer, I don't think either of these has ever been smoked. They have no odor of tobacco or char and the stems have no chatter whatsoever. Brand new.

I'm tickled pink.

That is pretty cool. Glad that seller took such steps to make things right.
I don't have any experience with either of those brands.

I don't know anything about either pipe, but yeah, that seller was really a good joe. Congrats on your new pipes!

Hi Paul,

Sounds like you hooked up with a reputable seller. Congrats on your haul.

The natural smooth should color nicely. The carved is similar to a technique that Sasieni used.

Hand carved pipes are often (can't speak for all makers or recently) achieved by grinding nails to fit the type of carving desired (in this case fairly sharp and pointed) and then being driven through a block of wood (often extra briar). Guys who do a lot of carving tend to have hearty handshakes!

Sounds like a seller we should support some.
Nice pipes you got there, Congrats.
