I got this in the mail recently. It is the Beall Buffing System and it's got a quick change adapter for your buffer that lets you change buffs in seconds. It includes 3 buffs; one for red Tripoli, white diamond, and wax. I got an extra wheel for a final buff after the wax wheel. I'm curious to know of your experiences with restoring pipes using a buffing wheel. Can you give me any advice on this?

My experience with this kind of buffing wheel is it slightly burns and discolors the wood if used at regular bench grinder speed (whatever that is).
But if you hook these things up to a variable speed drill, you can get good results at about half speed.

Good point. Got that covered, thanks. Most bench grinders run at 3500-3600 rpm. I have an old electric motor that I am using that runs at 1750 rpm which is gentle with wood. I just wish mine had a switch.
