I am going to smoke the only Behike that I have ever owned. It has been that cigar that the occasion never seemed BIG enough for me to put fire to it. It is now 10 years old, and to celebrate Don's life is the right moment. Please smoke your best and post here in memory of a truly special man.

Still going to break out a Blanco Nine lancero when I get the chance. I have one left from the last box I purchased. The Nine was the first lancero I ever smoked, and Mr. Turf gave me good advice on how to smoke it. As you may have guessed from my user name, I'm a little bit fond of lanceros ...

I remember doing that box split Mike, years ago. Don recommended it and loved that stick

Yep - I was really new to cigars when we did that split. I had only been smoking them for a few months, and I had no idea what a lancero even was. For me Blanco Nine (Los Blancos Nine when we did the split) will always and only be a lancero. And will always remind me of Don - his recommendation made me get in on the box split. And Scott let me get my feet wet - first trade on Puff.

When I get back to civilization this weekend, there's a Behike 52 that will go up in Don's honor.

Not being a huge fan of ISOM's, I opted for an AVO Syncro Nicaragua boxpressed toro

I don't have money either, but until about 55 I could roll over and pole vault out of bed every morning. Does that count?

If I remembers rightly where and how you plant it has a lot to do with the outcome.

The Blanco Nine Lancero a cigar he sent to me a long time ago and has been a lancero favorite. I am still affected by his passing more so than I realized. When you know about a person and have talked to them on the phone and then realize that you'll never get to do that again is very sobering. I hate that feeling as it robs one of an experience that had meaning and Dons midnight calls and conversations are probably more legendary than is noted. To have an effect in other peoples lives is really something to be honored and regardless of history with others in our lives Don was an honorable man.

When I delved into the depths of the coolidor I discovered that the Blanco Nine lancero I planned to smoke actually had a twin. So, my friend Tim (who was also on Puff for a while and remembered Don) and I smoked these Friday night. The Short Story box holds my lighters and cutters and stuff. The pool towel points out where we went to smoke them.

Today was the first chance I've had to really sit and enjoy a cigar. Behike 52 and Havana Club. Rest In Peace my friend.
